POSITION:
Operations Technician
JOB DUTIES:
- Safe, efficient operation
of multiple chilled water equipment stations that utilize refrigeration
systems, chiller systems and thermal storage to meet the process and
comfort cooling requirements of over 12 million square feet of downtown
Baltimore office, entertainment, cultural and healthcare facilities
- Ability to recognize, report,
mitigate or correct equipment and system anomalies
- Complete scheduled maintenance
tasks and minor system equipment repairs to customer site and Comfort
Link system equipment
- Complete assigned repair
or corrective action plans to system and plant equipment
- Interface with Comfort
Link customer site personnel and company vendors directly
- Complete written reports
of work completed or of system operation
- Ensure compliance with
all published regulated authorities requirements such as EPA and OSHA
- Assist in various duties
to support a 24/7 utility operation
JOB MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years experience
in the maintenance and operation of centrifugal chillers, pumping systems
and cooling towers. Additional experience with pneumatic control and
Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems and associated components, air
compressor systems, water treatment procedures and electrical system
equipment and components
- Ability to demonstrate
and use various hand tools and meters to diagnose and repair common
problems within a mechanical system
- Ability to use, climb various
ladders and tolerate heights up to 100 feet. Be able to lift up to 50
pounds.
- First Grade or Second Grade
Maryland State Board of Examining Engineers License or NIULPE or ASOPE
Second Grade Stationary Engineers License or other approved jurisdictional
Steam or Engineers license
- EPA - CFC Technician Certification
– Universal or Type II and III
- Ability to operate company
owned service vehicles. Proof of valid Class C Maryland Drivers License
and yearly review of DMV driving record required
- Admit to Company required
Alcohol and Drug Screening Program
- Ability to adjust work
schedule and work overtime to meet production requirements
